Reuters AlertNet

Reuters AlertNet is a humanitarian news network based around a popular website. It aims to keep relief professionals and the wider public up-to-date on humanitarian crises around the globe.

This is a great service for getting news about NGOs and their work. I especially like their NGO Latest section where you can filter news by country, organization or topic. Sadly, only the Philippine Red Cross is listed as a member of this service.

It’s pretty bare considering most of the members are from the West. But hopefully it’ll pick up some time soon.
