  1. On the first news item: I hope someone comes up with a way to dispose of regular batteries in an eco-friendly manner someday, and I hope that information reaches the Philippines and that programs will be properly put in place to handle this matter.

    On the second news item: Wood is an all right material to use, plus it can be recycled. But I hope forest certification will be done here someday, and that it will WORK. The sad thing is no matter how many laws we have, loggers can still get away with their crimes.
